Stone Mountain Jeep

October 12th, 2009 Joel No comments

I purchased a Jeep from Cobb County Toyota recently, and the service there was great when they were selling it to me. Then after the deal, it has been terrible. Cobb County Toyota promised to add on cruise control as part of the deal, and now the salesman will not return my call. I talked to the sales manager, and he keeps telling me he will take care of it, and then does not call me back.

I finally to my Jeep over to Stone Mountain Jeep and talked to Brad. He had a Jeep of his own and spent a lot of his time telling me about it and tips about owning a Jeep. They are looking into the issues that the other dealer has blown me off about. They even offered me a ride back home so I would not have to wait. The service at Stone Mountain Jeep is excellent.

If you want to purchase a Jeep, or if you need service on your Jeep, give Stone Mountain Jeep a chance.

DeKalb County Board of Health to administer H1N1 Vaccine

October 7th, 2009 Joel No comments

The DeKalb County Board of Health will begin administering its early shipment of H1N1 vaccine for healthy children ages 2 to 4 years old beginning on Wednesday, October 7 at all five of its health centers.

The nasal spray is known as live attenuated influenza vaccine.  Immunization efforts in DeKalb County are focused on reaching healthy children age 2 to 4 years old in order to protect a population that spreads the virus and is more at risk for hospitalizations. A small portion of the nasal spray will also be administered  to priority groups that include DeKalb County Board of Health clinical and DeKalb County Government Public Safety staff.

The DeKalb County Board of Health received its first shipment of 4,000 doses of the H1N1 live nasal spray on Monday, October 5.

The Swine Flu Vaccine is available in georgia now.  The first doses will go to healthy 2-4 year olds.  Distribution of the vaccine will begin on Thursday in Fulton, Gwinette, Rockdale and Newton counties.

“Take a deep breath, be patient, wait a couple of days, make another phone call and cut everyone a little slack, because it’s a little hectic out there, folks,” says Dr. William Schaffner, a flu vaccine specialist at Vanderbilt University.

Can Your Roof Handle the Rain

September 26th, 2009 Joel No comments

All of this heavy rain we have been getting over the past few weeks will make you think about your roof.  I actually went out between downpours and cleaned out the gutters.  I know many have been getting their roofs replaced in the neighborhood, so please leave a comment on this post if you have a suggestion for a roofer.  For those like me that have no idea how to tell if your roof needs replaced (other than a leak), here are a few suggestions on how to tell.
