The 2009 Browning Chase annual picnic was a success, even though the rain and cold tried to hamper our fun. Our gracious neighbor Gene opened his garage so residents could take shelter from the cold and rain. The food was excellent, a big thank you to the board for choosing a great restaurant for catering. If anyone has the name of the restaurant, please post it in the comments and I will add them to the site.
Congratulations to all the winners of the gift cards, I will spend it wisely. And yes, that means I won one!
Thanks again to all who was involved in planning. It was a great time, and I am already looking forward to next year. And if we had any food left over, Falcons play tomorrow night at eight… the party is at your place!
See some pictures I took here, and if you have any, send them to me and I will post them.
I purchased a Jeep from Cobb County Toyota recently, and the service there was great when they were selling it to me. Then after the deal, it has been terrible. Cobb County Toyota promised to add on cruise control as part of the deal, and now the salesman will not return my call. I talked to the sales manager, and he keeps telling me he will take care of it, and then does not call me back.
I finally to my Jeep over to Stone Mountain Jeep and talked to Brad. He had a Jeep of his own and spent a lot of his time telling me about it and tips about owning a Jeep. They are looking into the issues that the other dealer has blown me off about. They even offered me a ride back home so I would not have to wait. The service at Stone Mountain Jeep is excellent.
If you want to purchase a Jeep, or if you need service on your Jeep, give Stone Mountain Jeep a chance.

The DeKalb County Board of Health will begin administering its early shipment of H1N1 vaccine for healthy children ages 2 to 4 years old beginning on Wednesday, October 7 at all five of its health centers.
The nasal spray is known as live attenuated influenza vaccine. Immunization efforts in DeKalb County are focused on reaching healthy children age 2 to 4 years old in order to protect a population that spreads the virus and is more at risk for hospitalizations. A small portion of the nasal spray will also be administered to priority groups that include DeKalb County Board of Health clinical and DeKalb County Government Public Safety staff.
The DeKalb County Board of Health received its first shipment of 4,000 doses of the H1N1 live nasal spray on Monday, October 5.
